Removing and replacing a FRU 1030 Hard disk drive For access, remove these FRUs in order: v "1010 Battery pack" on page 46 v "1020 Hard disk drive slot cover" on page 47 Attention v Do not drop the hard disk drive or apply any physical shock to it. The hard disk drive is sensitive to physical shock. Improper handling can cause damage and permanent loss of data. v Before removing the drive, have the user make a backup copy of all the information on it if possible. v Never remove the drive while the system is operating or is in suspend mode. 1 When installing: Make sure that the hard disk drive connector is attached firmly. 48 MT 0689, 0768, and 0769
