Understanding printer messages List of status and error messages Toner Empty: Replace Toner The specified toner cartridge is empty. Remove the specified cartridge, and then install a new one. Service Call: 1 Turn the printer off. 2 Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 3 Check all cable connections. 4 Connect the power cord to a properly grounded outlet. 5 Turn the printer back on. If the service message appears again, contact Customer Support, and report the message. ADF Cover Open: Close ADF Cover Close the ADF cover to clear the message. ADF Jam: Open ADF Cover and Clear Jam Clear the ADF to resume printing. Answering The printer is answering a fax call. Wait for the message to clear. Awaiting Redial The printer is preparing to redial a fax number after a failed dialing attempt or busy signal. Wait for the message to clear. Busy After a fax number was dialed, the printer received a busy signal. The fax number will be redialed. Calibrating Wait for the message to clear. Cannot Copy: Cancel 2in1/4in1-Copy to Exec/B5 When you are using "2in1 A4-LTR-LGL" and "4in1 A4-LTR-LGL" copy options, executive and B5 paper sizes are not supported. Cannot Copy: Cancel Copy to Small Paper Small paper sizes are not supported for copy jobs. When copying, only A4, letter, legal, and B5 paper sizes are supported. The specified toner cartridge is empty. Remove the specified cartridge, and then install a new one.

ADF Cover Open: Close ADF Cover
Close the ADF cover to clear the message.
ADF Jam: Open ADF Cover and Clear Jam
