4049-XXX Dual Rear Feeder - Edge Guide Asm. 1. Remove the left frame by removing the eight mounting screws. 2. To remove the front edge guide assembly, remove the left end of the door from the pick roll shaft. 3. Slide the edge guide assembly, paper shaft, pick rollers, and buckler assemblies out to the left, leaving the pick roll shaft in place. Dual Rear Feeder - Gear Plate Asm. 1. Remove the right cover. 2. Remove the three screws and remove the gear plate assembly and the torquers. To reinstall: The 42-tooth gear that mounts to the back center of the gear plate assembly must be installed such that there is a gap between the gear face and the plate. To reinstall the plate with the torquer gears in the correct positions, see "Dual Rear Feeder Gear Alignment Adjustment" on page 4-4. Dual Rear Feeder - Right Cover There are five snaps holding the right cover to the frame. 1. Free the cable from the cover by pulling the grommet downward. 2. Pull the lower front of the cover to the right to release the two snaps along the bottom of the cover. 3. Pry the front upper portion slightly away from the frame so you can see the snap. Insert a screwdriver between the frame and the cover. Press the front of the snap with the screwdriver to release it. 4. Repeat step 3 on the rear upper portion. 5. The rear snap releases easily, freeing the cover. 4-43

Dual Rear Feeder - Edge Guide Asm.
1.
Remove the left frame by removing the eight mounting screws.
2.
To remove the front edge guide assembly, remove the left end of
the door from the pick roll shaft.
3.
Slide the edge guide assembly, paper shaft, pick rollers, and
buckler assemblies out to the left, leaving the pick roll shaft in
place.
Dual Rear Feeder - Gear Plate Asm.
1.
Remove the right cover.
2.
Remove the three screws and remove the gear plate assembly
and the torquers.
To reinstall: The 42-tooth gear that mounts to the back center of the
gear plate assembly must be installed such that there is a gap
between the gear face and the plate.
To reinstall the plate with the torquer gears in the correct positions,
see
“Dual Rear Feeder Gear Alignment Adjustment” on page 4-4
.
Dual Rear Feeder - Right Cover
There are five snaps holding the right cover to the frame.
1.
Free the cable from the cover by pulling the grommet down-
ward.
2.
Pull the lower front of the cover to the right to release the two
snaps along the bottom of the cover.
3.
Pry the front upper portion slightly away from the frame so you
can see the snap. Insert a screwdriver between the frame and
the cover. Press the front of the snap with the screwdriver to
release it.
4.
Repeat step 3 on the rear upper portion.
5.
The rear snap releases easily, freeing the cover.
