❚❚ Shutter-release button AE-L At the default setting of Off, exposure only locks when the A (L) button is pressed. If On is selected, exposure will also lock when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. Slot Empty Release Lock G button ➜ B setup menu If Release locked is selected, the shutter-release button is only enabled when a memory card is inserted in the camera. Selecting Enable release allows the shutter to be released when no memory card is inserted, although no pictures will be recorded (they will however be displayed in the monitor in demo mode). Print Date G button ➜ B setup menu Choose the date information imprinted on photographs as they are taken.
