First Steps Charge the Battery The camera is powered by an EN-EL14 rechargeable Li-ion battery (supplied). To maximize shooting time, charge the battery in the supplied MH-24 battery charger before use. About 1 hour and 30 minutes are required to fully recharge the battery X when no charge remains. A The Plug Adapter Depending on the country or region of purchase, a plug adapter may be supplied with the charger. The shape of the adapter varies with the country or region of purchase. If a plug adapter is supplied, raise the wall plug and connect the plug adapter as shown at right, making sure the plug is fully inserted. Attempting to forcibly remove the plug adapter could damage the product. 1 Remove the terminal cover. Remove the terminal cover from the battery. 2 Insert the battery. Insert the battery as shown in the illustration on the charger. D Charging the Battery Charge the battery indoors at ambient temperatures between 5-35°C (41-95°F). The battery will not charge if its temperature is below 0 °C (32 °F) or above 60 °C (140 °F). 3 Plug the charger in. The CHARGE lamp will flash slowly while the battery charges. D During Charging Do not move the charger or touch the battery during charging. Failure to observe this precaution could in very rare instances result in the charger showing that charging is complete when the battery is only partially charged. Remove and reinsert the battery to begin charging again. Battery Charging charging complete 4 Remove the battery when charging is complete. Charging is complete when the CHARGE lamp stops flashing. Unplug the charger and remove the battery. 12

Charge the Battery
The camera is powered by an EN-EL14 rechargeable Li-ion battery (supplied).
To
maximize shooting time, charge the battery in the supplied MH-24 battery charger
before use.
About 1 hour and 30 minutes are required to fully recharge the battery

Remove the terminal cover.
Remove the terminal cover from the battery.

Insert the battery.
Insert the battery as shown in the illustration on the
charger.

Plug the charger in.
The
CHARGE
lamp will flash slowly while the battery charges.

Remove the battery when charging is complete.
Charging is complete when the
CHARGE
lamp stops flashing.
Unplug the charger
and remove the battery.
