E SPOT METERING MODE Spot metering mode is used to obtain the right exposure regardless of the backlight. Place the subject in the center of the autofocus mark. 1 Press the Spot metering mode button. ● The Spot mode indicator appears on the control panel. 2 Position your subject within the autofocus mark and press the Shutter release button halfway. ● When the focus is locked, the exposure is also locked (AE lock). ± The Green lamp next to the viewfinder lights when the focus is locked. 3 Reposition your subjects in the picture frame while keeping the Shutter release button depressed halfway. Then press the Shutter release button fully. ● The Spot metering mode is canceled after the picture is taken. 86

SPOT METERING MODE
Spot metering mode is used to obtain the right exposure
regardless of the backlight. Place the subject in the center of
the autofocus mark.

Press the Spot metering mode button.
The Spot mode indicator appears on the control panel.

Position your subject within the autofocus mark and press
the Shutter release button halfway.
When the focus is locked, the exposure is also locked (AE
lock).

Reposition your subjects in the picture frame while
keeping the Shutter release button depressed halfway.
Then press the Shutter release button fully.
The Spot metering mode is canceled after the picture is
taken.
The Green lamp next to the viewfinder lights when the
focus is locked.
