JOG DIAL Storing names and telephone numbers in the JOG DIAL directory! For rapid access to frequently dialed numbers, the unit provides a JOG DIAL directory (50 stations). For your convenience, the following station has been pre-programmed. HELP-FAX (1-800-435-7329): If you cannot correct a problem after trying the help function (p. 10), call using this station (p. 39). If you do not need the above station, you can erase it (p. 38). 1 Press DIRECTORY PROGRAM . Display: USE1JOG-DIAL1OR MUTE (Insert) Display / PRESS1DIR.PROG. 2 Rotate JOG DIAL until the following is displayed. NAME= 3 Enter the name, up to 10 characters, by following the instructions on the next page. Example: NAME=Alice 4 Press SET . NO.= 5 Enter the telephone number, up to 30 digits, using the dial keypad. Example: NO.=5552233 q If you want to enter a hyphen, press FLASH/CALL WAIT . 6 Press SET . 123REGISTERED111 NAME= q To program other items, repeat steps 3 to 6. 7 Press DIRECTORY PROGRAM to exit the program. JOG DIAL SET DIRECTORY PROGRAM STOP FLASH/CALL WAIT (Delete) (Hyphen) Helpful hint: q You can confirm the stored items on the display (p. 39) or on the telephone number list (p. 105). Note: q When the following message is displayed in step 6, you can only store 5 more items. Display: SPACE=151DIRS. q If there is no space to store new stations, the following message is displayed in step 1. JOG-DIAL1FULL Erase unnecessary stations (p. 38). q A hyphen or a space entered in a telephone number counts as two digits. To correct a mistake q Press or to move the cursor to the incorrect character/number, and make the correction. To delete a character/number q Move the cursor to the character/number you want to delete and press STOP . 36
