Greeting Recording your own greeting messages! You can record your own greeting messages for the TAD/FAX and TEL/FAX modes. When receiving a call, your own greeting message will be played instead of the pre-recorded message. The recording time will be limited to 16 seconds. We recommend you record your message within 12 seconds to make it easier to receive faxes. Suggested messages "This is (your name, business and/or telephone number). We are TAD/FAX greeting message unable to answer right now. To send a fax, start transmission. To leave a message, speak after the beep. Thank you." TEL/FAX greeting message "This is (your name, business and/or telephone number). We are unable to answer right now. Please try again later. Thank you." 1 Select the desired mode (TAD/FAX or TEL/FAX) where you want to record a greeting message (feature #77 on page 88). 2 Press RECORD two times. q The display will show the following according to your selection in step 1. TAD/FAX mode: 2.TAD1GREETING TEL/FAX mode: 2.T/F1GREETING Display PRESS1START 3 Press START . q A long beep will sound. 4 Speak clearly about 20 cm (8 inches) away from the microphone. q The display will show the remaining recording time.
