Using Direct Menu Direct Menu allows you to change settings directly while recording using the v/V/b/ B/SET buttons. The following items can be configured. • Focus value (p. 35) • AE shift level value (p. 104) • Iris value (p. 43) • ISO sensitivity/gain value (p. 44) • Shutter speed value (p. 44) • White balance value (p. 46) v/V/b/B/SET buttons You can assign this function to an ASSIGN button. For details about function assignment operation to an ASSIGN button, see "Assigning functions to the ASSIGN buttons" (p. 64). 1 Press the ASSIGN button to which Direct Menu is assigned. After entering Direct Menu mode, a cursor (underline) is displayed for items along the bottom of the LCD screen. • Orange cursor indicates the selected item. • White cursor indicates selectable items. For example, the iris value 3 is selected in the following diagram. Orange cursor A Focus value B AE shift level value C Iris value D ISO sensitivity/gain value E Shutter speed value F White balance value 2 Move the v/V/b/B/SET button left/ right to move the orange cursor to select the target item to set. 3 When (auto) appears for the item to set, moving the v/V/b/B/ SET button up/down clears the mark. 4 Press the v/V/b/B/SET button to apply the setting.
