Canadian English Language ratings The Canadian English Language ratings are for TV programs in English broadcast in Canada. Option C (Programming intended for children under the age of 8) C8+ (Programming generally considered acceptable for children aged 8 and older to watch on their own) G (General Audience) PG (Parental Guidance) 14+ (Programming contains themes or content which may not be suitable for viewers under the age of 14) 18+ (Adult) Description There will be no realistic scenes of violence or no offensive language, nudity or sexual content. Careful attention is paid to themes, which could threaten children's sense of security and well-being. Violence will not be portrayed as the preferred, acceptable, or only way to resolve conflict; or children will not be encouraged to imitate dangerous acts which they may see on television.
