Getting Started Connecting a DVD player The following illustration shows how to connect a DVD player. It is not necessary to connect all the cords. Connect audio and video cords according to the jacks of your components. Notes • To input multi channel digital audio from the DVD player, set the digital audio output setting on the DVD player. Refer to the operating instructions supplied with the DVD player. • Before connecting cords, make sure to disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead). Tips • All the digital audio jacks are compatible with 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, and 96 kHz sampling frequencies. • The COMPONENT VIDEO COMPO 2 IN jacks have been assigned to the DVD player. If you connect your DVD player to the COMPONENT VIDEO COMPO 1 or COMPO 3 IN jacks, set "Input Assign" in the Input menu (page 82).
