Entering Traditional/Simplified Chinese, in T9 Stroke Mode

◆ abc/Abc/ABC (Multi Tap mode): Allows you to directly enter Key letters of the alphabet. Each press of a digit key switches the letter to the next letter assigned to that key. Select abc for all 1 lowercase characters, Abc for initial caps and ABC for all 2 uppercase characters. 3 ◆ Symbols: Symbol input mode. 4 ◆ Numeric: Numeric input mode. 5 Stroke Tip • When entering English characters, press /* to switch between uppercase, lowercase, initial caps and numeric input modes. • When entering Chinese characters, press /* to switch between T9 PinYin, T9 Stroke and numeric input modes. • To switch from Chinese character input mode to Multi Tap mode, press and hold /*. • To display the symbols list to enter a symbol, press /#. • To enter a space, press /0. • To delete a character you entered, press kK (Clear). Furthermore, to delete all the characters to the left of the cursor, press and hold kK (Clear). 1. In a character input screen, switch to T9 Stroke mode (page 35). 2. Enter individual strokes of the Chinese character you want to enter in order. Example: To enter “ ”, press 3 and 2. Each press of a key narrows down the number of available candidates. If the character you want to enter is not displayed, press B to display the next candidates. 3. When the Chinese character you want to enter is displayed as a candidate, press and hold the digit key corresponding to the number displayed above the Chinese character. Basic Operations
abc/Abc/ABC (Multi Tap mode):

Entering Traditional/Simplified Chinese
in T9 Stroke Mode
This mode allows you to enter individual strokes of traditional/
simplified Chinese characters in order and then select characters
from the candidates displayed.

In a character input screen, switch to T9 Stroke mode (page 35).

Enter individual strokes of the Chinese character you want to
enter in order.
Example: To enter
