E Rear brake pedal (fig. 25.2) Loosen lock nut (5). Turn pedal travel adjusting screw (6) until pedal is in the desired position. Tighten the lock nut (5). Work pedal by hand to make sure it has 1.5 - 2 mm free play before brake begins to bite. If this is not the case, adjust the length of the brake cylinder control rod as follows: Loosen the lock nut (7) on brake cylinder linkage. Tighten linkage (8) into fork (9) to increase play, or unscrew linkage to reduce it. Tighten check nut (7) and check pedal free play again. 8 7 9 5 6 fig. 25.2 36
