Instrument Panel Controls S (Panel and Floor) Select S to direct airflow to the floor and through the instrument panel registers at the same time. This selection can be used to either heat or cool your vehicle. The air conditioner will operate to cool the air if the outside temperature is about 50˚F (10˚C) or warmer. R (Floor) Select R to direct air to the floor. The air cannot be cooled in the R position but can be heated by rotating the temperature knob into the red area. P (Floor and Defrost) Select P to direct air to the floor and windshield defrosters at the same time. If the outside temperature is about 50˚F (10˚C) or warmer, the air will also be dehumidified to remove moisture. This feature will help prevent fogging in humid weather. The air can be cooled or heated. V (Defrost) Select V to obtain maximum airflow to the windshield. Rotate the temperature knob into the red area for the air temperature required to defrost. When the outside temperature is about 50˚F (10˚C) or warmer, the air will be dehumidified to remove moisture. Rotate the H knob to increase the airflow. 113
