4 - Recording Sync recording If the sync recording function is on, recording will begin automatically when the input signal exceeds the level set in advance (SYNC REC LEVEL). Activating and setting sync recording Use the menu to turn the sync recording function on and off and to set the sync recording level. 1. Press the MENU button repeatedly to open the REC FUNC menu, and turn the MULTI JOG dial to select SYNC REC. Sync recording operation When the sync recording function is on and the unit is in recording standby, recording will automatically start or stop in response to the level of the input source. p When a signal higher than the sync level is input, recording will begin automatically. Recording will automatically stop when the signal stays below the sync level continuously for 5 seconds. However, recording will not begin even if input is detected unless there has been at least one second in which the signal was below the SYNC LEVEL after entering recording standby. Level Recording starts 2. Press the MULTI JOG dial to open the SYNC REC screen. 3. Turn the MULTI JOG dial to turn the sync recording function on or off. Options: OFF (default), ON 4. Press the MULTI JOG dial to confirm the setting. If set to ON, the cursor will move to the LEVEL item. If set to OFF, the REC FUNC menu screen will reopen. 5. Turn the MULTI JOG dial to select the sync level. Options: − 24dB, −30dB, −36dB, −42dB, −48dB, −54dB (default), −60dB, −66dB, −72dB 6. Press the MULTI JOG dial to confirm the setting and return to the menu screen. NOTE • After recording starts, if the signal stays below the sync level continuously for 5 seconds, the unit automatically enters recording standby. • Sync recording starts as soon as the level is detected. SYNC LEVEL Time p To stop sync recording, set the SYNC REC screen MODE item to OFF. If the sync level is too high If the sync level setting is too high, the beginning of a song that starts with a low volume might not be captured. 4 – Recording
Sync recording
If the sync recording function is on, recording will begin
automatically when the input signal exceeds the level set in
advance (SYNC REC LEVEL).
Activating and setting sync recording
Use the menu to turn the sync recording function on and off and
to set the sync recording level.
1.
Press the
MENU
button repeatedly to open the
REC FUNC
menu, and turn the
MULTI JOG
dial to select
SYNC REC
.
2.
Press the
MULTI JOG
dial to open the
SYNC REC
screen.
3.
Turn the
MULTI JOG
dial to turn the sync recording function
on or off.
Options: OFF (default), ON

Press the
MULTI JOG
dial to confirm the setting.
If set to ON, the cursor will move to the
LEVEL
item.
If set to OFF, the
REC FUNC
menu screen will reopen.
5.
Turn the
MULTI JOG
dial to select the sync level.
Options: −24dB, −30dB, −36dB, −42dB, −48dB,
−54dB (default), −60dB, −66dB, −72dB
6.
Press the
MULTI JOG
dial to confirm the setting and return
to the menu screen.
NOTE
After recording starts, if the signal stays below the sync level
continuously for 5 seconds, the unit automatically enters
recording standby.
Sync recording starts as soon as the level is detected.
Sync recording operation
When the sync recording function is on and the unit is in
