9 - Miscellaneous functions Viewing information about the media You can view information about the media in the current device. 1. Press the MENU button repeatedly to open the MEDIA menu, and turn the MULTI JOG dial to select INFO.. 2. Press the MULTI JOG dial to open the MEDIA INFORMATION screen. Information about the current media is shown. You can check its total capacity, open space and total number of folders. Using a USB keyboard By connecting a Windows-compatible USB keyboard or numeric keypad to the KEYBOARD connector on the front panel of the main unit, you can use it to operate this unit. Various types of control are possible, but using a keyboard is particularly efficient for inputting text. Setting the keyboard type Set the keyboard type to match the one you have connected. 1. Press the MENU button repeatedly to open the UTILITY menu, and turn the MULTI JOG dial to select KEYBOARD. Restoring the factory settings You can restore all the settings that are stored in the unit's backup memory to the values that they had when shipped from the factory. Follow these steps using the menu to restore the settings. 1. Press the MENU button repeatedly to open the UTILITY menu, and turn the MULTI JOG dial to select F.PRESET. 2. Press the MULTI JOG dial to open the KEYBOARD TYPE screen. 3. Turn the MULTI JOG dial to select US (US English keyboard) or JPN (Japanese keyboard). Options: JPN (default), US 4. Press the MULTI JOG dial to confirm the setting and return to the menu screen. 2. Press the MULTI JOG dial to open a confirmation pop-up message. NOTE To cancel, press the EXIT/CANCEL [PEAK CLEAR] button. 3. Press the MULTI JOG dial again to restore the unit settings to their factory defaults. "READING MEDIA ..." appears in a pop-up.
