Troubleshoot Issues Troubleshooting Issues If your device does not acquire satellites, try one or more of the following: • Make sure the GPS is turned on. Tap > Settings > Navigation > GPS > GPS Status, and then verify that you are receiving satellite signals. • Verify that the GPS antenna is unobstructed. You must be outdoors or in a vehicle and have a clear view of the sky. Solid materials (except untinted glass), buildings, and dense trees can block satellite signals. • Make sure the GPS has enough time to initialize. When the GPS is turned on for the first time, it may take a few minutes to initialize. • If you have traveled more than 600 miles with the GPS receiver turned off, set your location on the map. If your device will not turn on, try one or more of the following: • Charge the battery. • Make sure the Hold key on the right side of the unit is up. If the red dot near the Hold key is visible, the unit is locked.
