Slide the controller to the left to make the width narrower. Slide the controller to the right to make the width wider. After sewing is finished, slide the feed dog position g switch lever to (to the right as seen from the rear of the machine) and turn the handwheel to raise the feed dogs. Narrower Wider Satin stitching using the sewing speed controller A decorative stitch can be sewn by changing the stitch width of a satin stitch. If the machine is set so that the stitch width can be adjusted using the sewing speed controller, the stitch width can quickly and easily be adjusted. In this case, the sewing speed is adjusted with the foot controller. Connect the foot controller. a Attach zigzag foot "J". b J Press to display the settings screen, and set c "Width Control" to "ON". The settings screens differ depending on the models. • Adjust the sewing speed with the foot controller. When you are finished sewing, set the stitch width g control setting back to "OFF". Memo • Although the stitching result differs depending on the type of fabric being sewn and the thickness of the thread being used, for best results, adjust the stitch length to between 0.3 and 0.5 mm (1/64 and 1/32 inch). → The machine is now set so that the stitch width can be controlled with the sewing speed controller.
