■ If the thread breaks during sewing Press the "Start/Stop" button to stop the machine. a If the upper thread is broken, redo the upper b threading. If the bobbin thread is broken, press and follow the directions in steps a through f from the previous section to reset the bobbin. Press . c Embroidering Embroidery foot auto down You can choose a setting to automatically lower the embroidery foot at the beginning of embroidering. Press to display the settings screen, and then a display page 7 by pressing / . Set [Embroidery Foot Auto Down] to [ON]. b 1 Press , , or to move the needle back the d correct number of stitches before the area where the thread broke. 1 When set to [ON], pressing the "Start/Stop" button when the presser foot is raised automatically lowers the presser foot before starting embroidering. Adjusting thread tension 4 The upper thread tension is changed. Press . a EMBROIDERY Memo • If you cannot move back to the area where the thread broke, press to select the color and move to the beginning position of that color, then use , or to move ahead to slightly before where the thread broke. Press e to return to the original screen. Press (Presser foot lifter button) to lower the f presser foot, and press the "Start/Stop" button to continue sewing. ■ Resuming embroidery after turning off the power The current color and stitch number are saved when embroidery is stopped. The next time the machine is turned on, you have the option to continue or delete the pattern. Press to loosen the upper thread tension. (The b tension number will decrease.) Press to tighten the upper thread tension. (The tension number will increase.)
