Transporting the machine Be sure to disconnect the power cord before transporting the machine. If the machine is likely to be subjected to vibration (e.g., when transporting over long distances), the following precautions should be taken. If you do not follow these precautions, the machine may be damaged or the quality of your printouts may be adversely affected. 14 1 Disconnect the power cord. 2 If the machine is connected to a telephone or your computer, remove the telephone line or printer cable. 3 Open the printer cover. 4 Grip the end of the cartridge, and remove it from the machine. In order to avoid direct sunlight, place the cartridge in the protective bag that the cartridge came in when you purchased it. 5 Close the printer cover. 6 Pull out the cassette completely, and remove the extension cover from the machine. 7 Detach the cassette extension from the cassette. 8 Insert the cassette in the machine. 9 Remove the output tray and document output tray. Be sure to disconnect the power cord before transporting the machine. If the machine is likely to be subjected to vibration
(e.g., when transporting over long distances), the following precautions should be taken. If you do not follow these

If the machine is connected to a telephone or your computer, remove the telephone line or printer cable.

Open the printer cover.
