Registering Information in the Machine This chapter describes how to enter information in your machine. 3 CHAPTER Guidelines for Entering Information The following section explains how to enter user information into the machine. NOTE If you pause while entering information and do not make an entry for more than 60 seconds, the machine returns to standby mode and loses all information you had entered up to that point. You will then have to start again. The time until the machine returns to the standby mode can be specified in a range of 1 minute to 9 minutes. You can also turn off AUTO CLEAR function. (See Chapter 15, "The Menu System.") Entering Numbers, Letters, and Symbols Each numeric button has a number and a group of uppercase and lowercase letters assigned to it. Use the chart below to determine which numeric button to press for each character. Guidelines for Entering Information
The following section explains how to enter user information into the machine.
NOTE
If you pause while entering information and do not make an entry for more than 60 seconds, the machine returns to standby mode and
