To remove the fixed disk drive controller board: 1. Complete the Board Slots Access Plate Removal procedure (see Section 7.4). 2. Disconnect the two fixed disk drive controller board signal cables by pulling the connectors away from the board (Figure 7.9-2). CAUTION Pull only on the connector, do not pry. Pulling on the wire makes the connector grip the pins tighter, which will damage the connector 3. Remove the retaining screw that secures the fixed disk drive controller board. Gently pull the board up and out of its J103 socket on the system board and out of the computer. (Figure 7.9-3).
