DES-3350SR Layer 3 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide config stp Purpose Syntax Description Parameters Used to set up STP on the switch level. config stp {maxage |hellotime forwarddelay |priority |version [rstp|stp]|txholdcount |fbpdu [enabled|disabled]} This command is used to set up the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) on the switch level. maxage − The maximum amount of time (in seconds) that the switch will wait to receive a BPDU packet before reconfiguring STP. The default is 20 seconds. hellotime − The time interval between transmission of configuration messages by the device. The default is 2 seconds. forwarddelay − The maximum amount of time (in seconds) that the device will wait before changing states. The default is 15 seconds. priority − A numerical value between 0 and 61,440 that is used in determining the root device, root port, and designated port.
