DES-3350SR Layer 3 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide config router_ports Description This command allows you to designate a range of ports as being connected to multicast-enabled routers. This will ensure that all packets with such a router as its destination will reach the multicast-enabled router − regardless of protocol, etc. Parameters − The name of the VLAN on which the router port resides. − Specifies a range of ports to be configured. Ports are specified by entering the lowest port number in a group, and then the highest port number in a group, separated by a dash. So, a port group including the switch ports 1, 2, and 3 would be entered as 1-3. Ports that are not contained within a group are specified by entering their port number, separated by a comma. So, the port group 1-3 and port 26 would be entered as 1-3, 26. Additional ports can be individually entered by their port number, separated by commas. Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command. Example Usage: To set up static router ports: 220
