DES-3350SR Layer 3 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide config bootp_relay Purpose Used to configure the BOOTP relay feature of the switch. Syntax config bootp_relay {hops } {time } Description This command is used to configure the BOOTP relay feature. Parameters hops − Specifies the maximum number of router hops that the BOOTP packets can cross. time − The minimum time in seconds within which the switch must relay the BOOTP request. If this time is exceeded, the switch will drop the BOOTP packet. Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command. Purpose
Used to configure the BOOTP relay feature
of the switch.
Syntax
config bootp_relay {hops <value 1-16>}
{time <sec 0-65535>}
Description
This command is used to configure the
BOOTP relay feature.
Parameters
hops <value 1-16>
−
Specifies the maximum
number of router hops that the BOOTP
packets can cross.
time <sec 0-65535>
−
The minimum time in
seconds within which the switch must relay
the BOOTP request. If this time is exceeded,
the switch will drop the BOOTP packet.
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.
Example Usage:
To configure BOOTP relay status:
local>config bootp_relay hops 4 time 2
Command: config bootp_relay hops 4 time 2
Success.
