3 Installing the Access Point Using the Web UI to Configure 802.1X Authentication Information To configure the Unified Access Point 802.1X supplicant user name and password by using the Web interface, click the Authentication tab and configure the fields shown in Table 9. IEEE 802.1X Supplicant Authentication Field Description 802.1X Supplicant Click Enabled to enable the Administrative status of the 802.1X Supplicant Username Password Click Disabled to disable the Administrative status of the 802.1X Supplicant. Enter the user name for the AP to use when responding to requests from an 802.1X authenticator. Enter the password for the AP to use when responding to requests from an 802.1X authenticator. NOTE: After you configure the settings on the Authentication page, you must click Update to apply the changes and to save the settings. Changing some access point settings might cause the AP to stop and restart system processes. If this happens, wireless clients will temporarily lose connectivity. To configure the Unified Access Point 802.1X supplicant user name and password by using
the Web interface, click the
Authentication
tab and configure the fields shown in
Table 9
.

NOTE:
After you configure the settings on the
Authentication
page, you must click
Update
to apply the changes and to save the settings. Changing some access
point settings might cause the AP to stop and restart system processes. If this
happens, wireless clients will temporarily lose connectivity. We recommend
that you change access point settings when WLAN traffic is low.
