Command Example fields: show ip bgp summary Field BGP router identifier BGP table version network entries paths denied paths BGP path attribute entries BGP AS-PATH entries BGP community entries Dampening enabled Neighbor AS MsgRcvd MsgSent TblVer InQ OutQ Description Displays the local router ID and the AS number. Displays the BGP table version and the main routing table version. Displays the number of network entries and route paths and the amount of memory used to process those entries. Displays the number of paths and the amount of memory used. Displays the number of denied paths and the amount of memory used. Displays the number of BGP path attributes and the amount of memory used to process them. Displays the number of BGP AS_PATH attributes processed and the amount of memory used to process them. Displays the number of BGP COMMUNITY attributes processed and the amount of memory used to process them. The show ip bgp community command provides more details on the COMMUNITY attributes. Displayed only when dampening is enabled. Displays the number of paths designated as history, dampened, or penalized. Displays the BGP neighbor address. Displays the AS number of the neighbor. Displays the number of BGP messages that neighbor received. Displays the number of BGP messages that neighbor sent. Displays the version of the BGP table that was sent to that neighbor. Displays the number of messages from that neighbor waiting to be processed. Displays the number of messages waiting to be sent to that neighbor.
