Allow sufficient time for the heat sink to cool before you touch it. CAUTION: Do not touch the thermal grease and thermal pad as it can reduce the thermal performance. Steps 1. Loosen the four captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board in this sequence: 4 → 3 → 2 → 1. 2.
