Installing the touchpad

Steps 1. Unroute the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 2. Lift the cable-connector latch, disconnect the touchpad cable from the connector (TP) on the system board, and remove the touchpad cable. 3. Remove the five (M2x2.3) screws that secure the touchpad bracket to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 4. Lift the touchpad bracket off the touchpad. 5. Remove the two (M2x2.3) screws that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. 6. Lift the touchpad, along with the touchpad cable, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. NOTE: The touchpad cable is bundled with the touchpad assembly as a service part and must not be removed from the touchpad assembly. Steps
1.

Lift the cable-connector latch, disconnect the touchpad cable from the connector (TP) on the system board, and remove
the touchpad cable.
3.
Remove the five (M2x2.3) screws that secure the touchpad bracket to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4.
Lift the touchpad bracket off the touchpad.
5.
Remove the two (M2x2.3) screws that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
6.
Lift the touchpad, along with the touchpad cable, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE:
The touchpad cable is bundled with the touchpad assembly as a service part and must not be removed from the
touchpad assembly.
