Remove the heat sink - for computers shipped with an integrated graphics card or heat sink - for computers shipped with a discrete graphics card, whichever is applicable. 10. Remove the touchpad. 11. Remove the I/O-board cable. 12. Remove the display assembly. 13. Remove the I/O board. 14. Remove the power button or the power button with fingerprint reader, whichever is applicable. 15. Remove the power-adapter port. 16. Remove the system board. NOTE: The system board can be removed with the heat sink attached to it in order to simplify the procedure and preserve the thermal bond between the system board and heat sink. About this task NOTE: The palm-rest and keyboard assembly cannot be further disassembled once all the components in the prerequisite steps have been removed. If the keyboard is malfunctioning and is required to be replaced, replace the entire palm-rest and keyboard assembly. The palm-rest and keyboard assembly cannot be further disassembled once all the components in the prerequisite
steps have been removed. If the keyboard is malfunctioning and is required to be replaced, replace the entire palm-rest and
keyboard assembly.
