Usage Information When you use the no logging on command, messages are logged only to the console. Related Commands • logging - enable logging to the Syslog server. • logging buffered - set the logging buffered parameters. • logging console - set the logging console parameters. • logging monitor - set the logging parameters for the terminal connections. logging source-interface Specify that the IP address of an interface is the source IP address of Syslog packets sent to the Syslog server. Syntax logging source-interface interface To disable this command and return to the default setting, use the no logging source-interface command. Parameters interface Enter the following keywords and slot/port or number information: • For a 1-GigabitEthernet interface, enter the keyword GigabitEthernet then the slot/port information. • For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port information. • For a Loopback interface, enter the keyword loopback then a number from 0 to 16383. • For the Management interface, enter the keyword ManagementEthernet then the slot/port information. Usage Information

When you use the

no logging on

command, messages are logged only to the console.

Commands

•

logging

— enable logging to the Syslog server.

•

logging buffered

— set the logging buffered parameters.

•

logging console

— set the logging console parameters.

•

logging monitor

— set the logging parameters for the terminal connections.

logging source-interface

Specify that the IP address of an interface is the source IP address of Syslog packets sent to the Syslog server.

Syntax

logging source-interface

To disable this command and return to the default setting, use the

no logging source-interface

command.

Parameters

interface

Enter the following keywords and slot/port or number information:

•

For a 1-GigabitEthernet interface, enter the keyword

GigabitEthernet

then the

slot/port information.

•

For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword

TenGigabitEthernet

then

the slot/port information.

•

For a Loopback interface, enter the keyword

loopback

then a number from 0 to

16383.

•

For the Management interface, enter the keyword
