The S6000 supports splitting a single 40G QSFP port into four 10G SFP+ ports using one of the supported breakout cables (refer to the S6000 Installation Guide or the S6000 Release Notes for a list of supported cables). Command Syntax stack-unit stack-unit port number portmode quad Command Mode Purpose CONFIGURATION Split a single 40G port into 4-10G ports on the S6000. stack-unit: Enter the stack member unit identifier of the stack member to reset. S6000 range: 0 - 5 S4810 range: 0 - 11 Z9000 range: 0-7 number: Enter the port number of the 40G port to be split. S4810 range: Enter one of the following port numbers - 48, 52, 56, or 60. Z9000 range: 0,4,12,16......116,120,124 S6000 range:0,4,12,16......116,120,124 Important Points • Splitting a 40G port into 4x10G port is supported only on a standalone unit. • Split ports cannot be used as stack-link to stack an S6000. • Split ports cannot be a part of any stacked system. • Few of the Ports in S6000 are fixed 40G Ports and hence splitting is not allowed.
