Self-test Mode In the self-test mode, the printer prints the current status of the printer (on the roll paper) and resident characters as a test print (roll paper, slip paper, and validation paper). You can confirm the following information with the status print. • ROM version • Interface setting • Buffer capacity setting • Busy condition setting 3 • Automatic line feed setting • Customer display connection • Resident character set • Print density setting • Installed devices (MICR unit, endorsement printer unit, validation unit) • Maintenance information (thermal head, autocutter, impact head, MICR head) • DIP switch settings 85
