Starting an Adventure Before you can start an adventure, you must send an adventure from BaseCamp to your navigator (Sending Files to and from BaseCamp, page 27). When you start a saved adventure, the navigator follows the saved track and displays shortcuts to related information along the track, such as photos and waypoints. 1 Press MENU twice to open the main menu. 2 Select Adventures. NOTE: You may need to add this application to the main menu before you can select it (Customizing the Main Menu, page 40). 3 Select an adventure. 4 Select Start. Calculating the Size of an Area 1 Press MENU twice to open the main menu. 2 Select Area Calculation > Start. NOTE: You may need to add this application to the main menu before you can select it (Customizing the Main Menu, page 40). 3 Walk around the perimeter of the area you want to calculate. 4 Select Calculate when finished. Using the Flashlight WARNING This device may have a flashlight that can be programmed to flash at various intervals. Consult your physician if you have epilepsy or are sensitive to bright or flashing lights. NOTE: Using the flashlight can reduce battery life. You can reduce the brightness or flash frequency to extend the life of the battery. 1 Press MENU twice to open the main menu. 2 Select Flashlight > ENTER. NOTE: You may need to add this application to the main menu before you can select it (Customizing the Main Menu, page 40). 3 If necessary, use the brightness slider to adjust the brightness. 4 If necessary, select a different flash type. 0 No strobe, constant beam. 1 through 9 Number of strobes per second. SOS Emergency strobe. NOTE: Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and ANT+® connections are disabled in SOS mode.
