Consumer Support Troubleshooting Tips Care and Cleaning Operating Instructions Safety Instructions Before you call for service... Troubleshooting Tips Save time and money! Review the charts on the following pages first and you may not need to call for service. Problem Control signals after entering cooking time or delay start Food does not bake or roast properly Food does not broil properly Clock and timer do not work Oven light does not work Oven temperature too hot or too cold Possible Causes You forgot to enter a bake temperature or cleaning time. What To Do • Touch BAKE and desired temperature or SELF CLEAN and desired clean time. Oven controls improperly set. Rack position is incorrect or the rack is not level. Oven floor not in place. Oven thermostat needs adjustment. • See the Using the Oven section. • See the Using the Oven section. • Replace the oven floor. • See the Adjust the Oven Thermostat-Do It Yourself! section. Oven door is open. Oven controls improperly set. Improper rack position being used. Food being cooked in a hot pan. Cookware not suited for broiling. The probe is plugged into the outlet in the oven. In some areas the power (voltage) may be low. • Close the door. This model is designed for closed door broiling only. Always broil with the door closed. • Make sure you touch BROIL. • See the Broiling Guide. • For best results, use a pan designed for broiling. Make sure it is cool. • For best results, use a pan designed for broiling. • Unplug and remove the probe from the oven. • Preheat the broil element for 10 minutes. • Broil for the longest period of time recommended in the Broiling Guide. A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped. Oven controls improperly set. • Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. • See the To Set the Clock and Kitchen Timer and Control Lockout sections. Light bulb is loose or defective. • Tighten or replace the bulb. The oven is self-cleaning or • The oven lights do not come on during self-cleaning the Sabbath option is set. or if the Sabbath option is set. Pad operating light is broken. • Call for service.
