Table 41. Numbered printer messages (continued) 50.3 FUSER ERROR CYCLE POWER Event log message: 50.00.03 Description: Indicates that a high temperature error has occurred in the fuser. This error is saved in the controller board by an electrical charge in capacitor C259. Action: 1 Turn the printer off and on to reset the printer. 2 Turn the printer off and unplug it. Place a flat blade of a screwdriver between the two wires of C259 to short out the capacitor and clear the memory. 3 Replace the fuser kit. 4 Replace the power supply. 5 Replace the controller board. 50.4 FUSER ERROR CYCLE POWER Event log message: 50.00.04 Description: Indicates that a fuser drive or power unit error has occurred in the fuser. Action: 1 Turn the printer off and on to reset the printer. 2 Verify the fuser is completely seated inside the printer. 3 Replace the fuser kit. 4 Replace the power supply. 5 Replace the controller board. 50.00.05 (event log message) An incompatible fuser is installed. See INCORRECT FUSER LOWER LEFT DOOR in table 42 on page 399. 50.6 FUSER ERROR CYCLE POWER Event log message: 50.00.06 Description: Indicates that a heater error has occurred in the fuser. Action: 1 Turn the printer off and on to reset the printer. 2 Verify the fuser is completely seated inside the printer. 3 Reconnect connector J222 on the controller board, connector J26 on the fuser, and connector J101 on the power supply. 4 Replace the fuser kit. 5 Replace the power supply. 6 Replace the controller board. 374 Chapter 7 - Troubleshooting EN
