NOTE: If several disks fail, the RAID state will still display a fault, but you are given the option of initializing the RAID array. This will make the HP D2D Backup System usable again, but you will have lost your data. Replacing a complete unit If you are sent an empty unit as a replacement, you must transfer the disks from the old unit into the new unit.
