Interpreting error codes When errors occur while you are sending or receiving faxes, an error message is included on the Last Transaction and Last 32 Transaction reports. The RESULT column of the report contains the word ERROR and an error code is printed to the right of the message. These codes report the following error conditions. If you resend a fax that reported an error, watch the front panel display for messages. For help on messages, see "Understanding display messages". Code numbers 030 through 031 421 through 425 441, 442, 444 through 483 and 531 through 567 501 through 506, 508 through 516 and 571 through 582 591, 594 and 595 592, 593 507 Condition Document misfeed Sending error while dialing. Sending error. Remedy The document did not feed correctly. Try resending. Check for a dial tone, then try resending. This may be the result of a bad connec` tion. Try resending. Receiving error.
