To specify the substrate(s) for jobs in the Job Ticket or Ticket Template 1. Open the Job Ticket or Ticket Template and click the Substrate tab. 2. Use the Default job substrate list to select the substrate that will be used by all sheets except those specified in Additional Substrates. You can use the Substrate Catalog to view the full range of choices. See Using the Substrate Catalog on page 99. 3. If the job uses multiple substrates, for each additional substrate: a. Select a substrate from the Substrate list. b. Type a sheet range for that substrate. c. Click Add. NOTE: For personalized JLYT, use the substrate specified in the job. If not specified, the press default substrate is used. 4. Repeat step 3, if necessary, to specify additional substrates. NOTE: The substrates included in the pull-down lists are the first 20 entries in the Substrate Catalog. The contents of the lists cannot be configured. Using the Substrate Catalog The Substrate Catalog is used to: ● View an aggregated list of substrates defined on all presses. ● Locate specific substrates. ● Assign a specific substrate to a job, either pre-RIP or post-RIP. To open the Substrate Catalog ● On the Substrate tab of the Job Ticket (or Ticket Template), click Substrate Catalog from the Default job substrate or Substrate lists. ● On the Substrate page of the Job Properties dialog box, select Substrate Catalog from the Substrate list. In this view, the list is filtered to include only the substrates defined on the press(es) to which the press controller is mapped. To locate a substrate 1. Open the substrate catalog from the Job Ticket or Job Properties. 2. Click the Substrate column header to sort the list by substrate name. To view a list of all the substrates on a particular press. 1. Open the substrate catalog. 2. If necessary, click the Press column header to sort the list by press name. To select a substrate for a job 1. Open the substrate catalog from the Job Ticket or Job Properties dialog. 2. Select the substrate and click Select Substrate.
