23 ICF Formats and Production Pro Print Server Workflows What is ICF? ICF is an abbreviation for Indigo Compression Format. It refers to both the internal format of press jobs (JLYT files) and the version of software running on the presses and press controllers. All press jobs loaded onto a press or press controller are internally stored in the ICF format of that device. Currently, there are two ICF formats: ● ICF 96 - This format is used by the non-upgraded HP 5000 and older presses. ICF 96 presses do not support ICF 05. ● ICF 05 - This format is used by newer presses and press controllers. It supports the printing enhancements such as line thinning, line smoothing, and multiple resolutions. What is ICF?
ICF is an abbreviation for Indigo Compression Format. It refers to both the internal format of press jobs
(JLYT files) and the version of software running on the presses and press controllers. All press jobs
loaded onto a press or press controller are internally stored in the ICF format of that device.
Currently, there are two ICF formats:
ICF 96 – This format is used by the non-upgraded HP 5000 and older presses. ICF 96 presses do
not support ICF 05.
ICF 05 – This format is used by newer presses and press controllers. It supports the printing
