Dealing with Master Jobs held for review Processors can be configured to automatically put Master Jobs on hold when they finish processing at that processor. This provides a way to: ● Manually control the workflow of a Master Job. A Master Job held for review must be manually approved before it can continue through its workflow. ● Closely monitor Master Jobs to see if they require reprocessing. For example, the user has an opportunity to check the Job Log or Production System Log before proceeding. Master Jobs held for review have the status icon . Master Jobs held for review are handled by: ● Approval. This allows the Master Job to proceed to the next step in its workflow. ● Failing approval. The Master Job status is changed to Needs attention. Approving or failing the Master Job Note for remote users: Your user permissions determine whether or not you can perform these tasks. To approve the Master Job: 1. Select the Master Job in the Master Jobs list. 2. In the Actions menu, click Approve and release. The Master Job will proceed through its workflow. To fail approval: 1. Select the Master Job in the Master Jobs list. 2. In the Actions menu, click Fail Approval. The Master Job status will change to Needs attention . The Master Job can now be: ● Reprocessed. This sends the Master Job back through the current processor. See Reprocessing a job on page 54. ● Resubmitted. This starts the Master Job's workflow from the beginning. See Resubmitting a job on page 54. ● Canceled. The Master Job is placed in Canceled status . See Canceling jobs on page 55.
