Use ink printing order printing controls are disabled if the job is not assigned to a press, or assigned press is not connected. Select a default ink printing order from the list. Job Properties dialog box - Linework and Resolution page Use this page to view and modify line smoothing, halftoning, and thinning settings. These options might not be available for all presses. See Enhanced printing options on page 84 for more information. Resolution Adaptive halftoning Line smoothing (RET) Line thinning Line thinning adjustment Displays the resolutions of the job. Activates HP Adaptive Halftoning. When using HP Adaptive Halftoning, the system analyzes text and images as they are being printed, adding dots to fill gaps at the edges to produce sharp text and images that enhance the quality of printed pieces without affecting color stability. See Adaptive halftoning on page 87 for more information. Smooths solid lines if the resolution is less than 800 dpi. Not available if any resolution is over 800 dpi. See Line smoothing on page 86 for more information. Compensates solid linework width for dot gain changes. See Line thinning on page 86 for more information. Use the sliding bar to modify the thinning adjustment from -10 to +10 microns. Job Properties dialog box - Comments tab Use this tab to view or modify the comments associated with the job. Enter your comments Edit the comment text. This field has a 128-character limit. Comments originate in the Job Ticket's Special Comments field. Comments can also be edited by the press operator. Job Properties dialog box - Job Log tab This tab displays a list of events that have occurred since the press job was created. This includes load times, print start time, print end time, and the number of copies or sheets printed. None of the information can be edited. Job Preview window To open the Job Preview window, select a press job and click the job preview toolbar button .
