The connection module: 1. Attempts to make a connection to the server. 2. If the connection succeeds, the module determines the version of software running on the server. 3. The module then determines whether a compatible version of the remote client is installed on the local system. 4. The user account provides a login name, password, task permissions, and user preferences. NOTE: This is not the same account as the user's machine or network login. ● Creating user accounts. Configuring user access to the Jobs Share When Production Pro Print Server is installed, a shared folder is created. This folder and its subfolders constitute the Production Pro Print Server Jobs Share. The Jobs Share must be available to all users who: ● Submit jobs using hot folders. ● Submit image assets that will be used by VDP jobs submitted using the Import dialog box. ● Perform administrative tasks such as creating hot folders, OPI search paths (in Ticket Templates), and centralized error/success folders.
