Slide the drive slowly into the location until it stops (see Figures 6-5 and 6-6). CAUTION Be careful not to damage the light pipes as you insert the drive. They are very fragile. You must insert the drive slowly and gently. If the drive is inserted too quickly when the system is on, in-rush current can cause the power supply to shut down. 5. Press the ejector handle in until you feel the latch click into place. Closing the ejector handle engages the drive with the electrical connector in the hot-swap mass storage cage and seats the drive. If the drive is unseated in the cage after closing the ejector handle, the handle was probably not pulled out far enough, and the locking latch failed to engage the hot-swap mass storage cage. Repeat the procedure from step 3. 40
