Chapter 8 Rack Mounting the HP Netserver (4-Post) A tension spring allows the outer-rails to compress during installation. The outer-rails are held in place at of the front of the rack by a flat spring tab at the rear face of the front columns. See Figures 8-2 and 8-5. 6. Repeat Steps 3 through 5 for the outer-rail on the right front and rear columns. 7. If you need to release the outer-rail assembly once it is installed into the rack, do the following: a. Place your finger inside the rail at the point shown by the arrow to release the spring tab. See Figure 8-5. b.
