Copy files to floppy disk, tape, or network drives. • Use a virus-scanning program, such as Norton AntiVirus, to check the integrity of your files and operating system. Since new viruses appear frequently, you will also want to update the program's virus definitions from time to time. Updates for Norton AntiVirus are on the Web at www.symantec.com. If you are using another application, see the application's help for updating information. • Check your disk for errors periodically: click Start, My Computer, and select the disk you want to scan. Click File, Properties, then select the Tools tab and click Check Now. Observe the following guidelines to extend the life of the backlight in the computer
display.
