NOTE: • To control the path of storage traffic to and from the array controller and to add one level of system security, HP recommends assigning an IP Address to the data port that is in a different LAN segment than the management port. This IP address can not be changed. To change an IP address assigned to a port, you must add a new IP address and then delete the unneeded entry. When deleting an IP address, all corresponding portals and portal group assignments are also deleted. • By default, the VLAN ID is 0, meaning that traffic flowing from the port to the switch will be untagged. To assign a VLAN for this port to use, enter its value. VLANs are set up on the switch, and are used as one method of controlling access to the storage system. 3.
