5. For VMFS datastores, you will only be able to select a datastore that has 1 TB of free space or more and a corresponding maximum file size of 1 TB or greater. (Please refer to the vSphere 5.x hypervisor (ESXi) documentation for more information about maximum file size.) Datastores that do not meet this criterion are greyed out. In the example shown, there is only one available datastore. For NFS datastores, the default option is a thin-provisioned datastore. In this case, the capacity of the datastore should be 1 TB or more. The amount of free space on the datastore will depend on the amount of over-provisioning done by the user. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the VSA is not starved for storage space while backing up data. Click on the right-most + column (dark blue) to select it for the new virtual disk.
