The xSeries 306m Types 8849 and 8491 server The IBM® xSeries® 306m Type 8849 and Type 8491 server is ideally suited for networking environments that require superior microprocessor performance, efficient memory management, and flexibility. Performance, ease of use, and reliability were key considerations in the design of the server. These design features make it possible for you to customize the system hardware to meet your business needs. The server comes with a limited warranty. For information about the terms of the warranty and getting service and assistance, see the Warranty and Support Information document. The server contains IBM Enterprise X-Architecture™ technologies, which help increase performance and reliability.
