reduced. You must first define a new volume and extend the database if the number in that column is smaller than the size of the volume you wish to delete. Use the reduce db command to reduce the database size. Once the database is reduced in size, the desired volume can be deleted. Example 5-14 shows the procedure. We have one other mirrored volume of 1 GB, so there is enough space to reduce the size or the database. The second query db shows that the maximum extension is now 16 MB, since the default volume has not yet been deleted. Use the query dbvolume command to see the full name of the file. You can now delete the default database volume using the delete dbvolume command, as shown in Example 5-15.
